What we collect
Account details you give us (email address and password credentials handled by our authentication provider), the cooking preferences you save, and the pantry text, photos or video frames you submit to generate a recipe. We also keep a basic record of product events such as sign-ups and recipes generated so we can improve the app.
How we use it
To generate your recipes and meal plans, remember your dietary paths and settings, send the recipe emails you opted into, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal information.
AI processing
Pantry descriptions and images are sent to third-party AI models solely to compose your recipe. Do not submit images or text containing sensitive personal information.
Email and consent
Recipe inspiration emails are opt-in. You choose whether to receive them when you sign up, you can change it any time in Account settings, and every message includes an unsubscribe option.
Your choices
You can update your preferences, unsubscribe from all communications, or request deletion of your account and associated data from your account settings. Every email we send also carries a one-click unsubscribe link. A published support address is not yet in service; account settings are the reliable route today.
Children
Down Home Chef™ is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
We will post any updates to this policy on this page and revise the effective date above.
